| Personally, I view Tempo as the rhythm of the entire golf swing (back swing, down swing, follow through). Good Tempo means a good, free-flowing swing without being tense up. To me, Lagging means the acceleration of downswing speed to and after impact..Easy to understand but still trying to learn to execute.. | |

| What is lag? We've all heard this term. Lag can be defined as, "trailing" or "following." Golf instruction tells us we need to have it but why? | |

| Lag is created when your legs have moved, hips have turned but shoulders and hands have not. Some people associate this with the "X-factor" theory, where it measures angle between the shoulders and the hips.
Tempo is the rhythm at which one swings. Some golfers have a slow swing while some have a faster swing. I am one of those who were taught to have a distinct pause at the top of the backswing, while most golfers do not have that. All these are part of the tempo. It's the same as in music.

| If you want to increase distance, you need to know this "lag". Basically it is a delay in throwing your clubhead at the ball. | |

| Golfers are always thinking of ways to creating bigger lag to hit the ball further. Delay is one aspect. Sequence of motion also matters. | |

| IMHO, Lag can only be created in a swing if you achieve the proper downswing actions.
Moving first......
legs hip shoulder arms hands clubhead as the last!

| JL tried to explain to me the other time when i was practising.
She said that i have to have more LAG, think she means i need to let my hips and shoulders go before my hand. I think it generates more distant.
But it's difficult to execute loh. like. VERY DIFFICULT.
