A player may not putt with one hand while holding the flagstick with the other. True or False?

False, i putt with one hand and the other hand holding my pretty caddy Very Happy W.I.M.P? PART 47 974937

There is no penalty for doing above. However, the flag stick need to be removed from the hole and also ball cannot strike the flat stick.

Another situation that you cannot do is .. putt with one hand and steady yourself with club held in other hand. This manner considered to be use of equipment in an usual manner, contrary to rule 13-3

ANSWER:
False. Decision 17-1/5.
The player may hold the falstick while putting providing a) he does not use the flagstick for assistance, and b) the ball does not strike it. If the ball were to strike flagstick, a breach of Rule 17-3a would occur and there would be a penalty of two strokes in stroke play or loss of hole in match play.
