How clean or dirty is your gloves

This is a true story.

Met a golfer whom i know while playing par 3 in Changi and he worked near my office. As i was going for my tea break , i saw him coming out from one of my office building GP clinic. Got hold of him for tea, was shocked me was he told me his left hand got virus infection till it turn blueish dark. Doctor said it a kind of virus infection that attrack the skin, lucky he see the Doc early and had a double dose of medication. It not it could turn to gangrene !!!

Ask how could it happen and was numb when he told me what happen.....It his left gloves that cause him the infection. As this few days was raining, he played golf and left the gloves hanging by his bag, although he have a few pairs hanging, every pair is wet and moist. he started the game with just a left hand gloves, after 6 holes he felt itchy but pay no attention to it, after 18 holes his hand is reddish with pimple like all over his left hand. The next day it swelled and turn bluish and it painful.

Lucky modern medicine got a cure for it !!!!

So everyone, please check your gloves, if it smelly, damp, moist.....throw away and wear a new pair to play golf. Myself just threw away 3 pair of gloves and stocked up with new pairs of gloves.

Better be safe than sorry !

I think should be able too ba. I'm been washing my leather gloves once a month since i started golf. Not sure isn't due to the washing, my gloves cannot last more than 4 months.

oops !!!! mine is not leather. mine something like nylon. Fit39 bought from Golfer's Point. They give very good price

You don't wash leather gloves. This will destroy its texture.

Buy one can of anti-bacteria spray (those used for shoes, can get from Bata shop), and spary your glove after each game, and leave it to air dry. I do this for all my shoes and golf gloves.

That one ah ???? Tell you all a secret la. You just put it in a small double boil pot and boiled it for 2 hrs. Then drink it. Good for your golf ....

Yes mariateo, i took your advice and bought the Fit39 from GolfersPoint, nice colors too. It is very tacky to my hands, great for all shots even putting i can feel the putter head. And it is washable too !!!

Due to our humid weather, compare to leather glove, fit39 kind of material = 'no horse run'...
