| Last night, wall street was bleeding in the Red with all markets down by more than 4.3%, one of the steepest decline since the last crisis. Today Asia markets are not spare with Hang Seng & STI dropping to 4.4% & 3.3% as of now. Presidential hopeful Dr Tony Tan who is executive director and chairman of GIC believe it will. He was right in his forecast in 2007 of the 2008/2009 recession. He may be using scared tactics to win the race to Istana. But as chairman to Singapore sovereign wealth fund, I do believe that he has privileged detail information that is unknown to the general public. But than again, in the investment world, what goes up must also comes down...only guessing work is who will be the last sucker when the music stops. Do you think the falling knife will continue...? And the music is stopping soon? | |

Financial Institutions are all in cost cutting modes. Some have already started with small scale retrenchments. Singaporeans still seems cash loaded though.

This morning hear from radio that Dr Tony Tan putting remarks that he will do something when he become president....... question is that, big boys in America can't even help themselves, then how could he help Singaporean to have better life...... only possibility is that gov dun tax so much, lower the cost of living....... not increase the transportation cost & etc...... helps lower income singaporean....... when come to charity, as gov to donate more and absorb the toll free charges as well.

President job scope (maybe only): 1) meeting overseas president / minister say Hello, how are you? 2) Dinner........ afterwhich say "Bye..... and take care or have a good evening" 3) Month ends comes is most exciting............ 4) Daiily look after the country reserve fund...... "counting money, if guess" hahahaha That why so many people is applying which include our Seiko......... and he miss his closing dates...... damn...... otherwise, I will mentally support him and vote for him...... as "Press Ce Dent"
