Hole-in-One at Poresia Bougainvillea Hole 33 on 5 August 2012

Yay! Got my first ever HOle-in-One today at Poresia Bougainvillea Course Hole 33 Par 3. Used 6 iron from White Tee. Ball went a bit right but saw it kick back left but couldn't see where it was. Parked buggy and went looking for ball with help from colleague but could not find ball. Colleague proceed to hit his ball from fairway first while I continue looking for my ball on the right. Colleague's ball was on the green while I proceed to place ball at drop zone thinking ball must have kicked left into water. I pitch the ball and it landed on the green. As I moved forward to mark my ball, my colleague lifted the flag and heard the sound of a golf ball dropping into the hole.

There is this dirty little devil. An old Pro V1 which was so aged looking that nobody would have bothered to pick it up.

The next problem I will face is whether I can claim the insurance for the HIO as I was told by Poresia's Manager that some insurance company do not recognise the witness of a 2 balls flight.

Can anyone shed a light on this?

Congrats. Yeah, i do heard that some insurance company doesnt recog it.

Why not recognized? I can understand if 9-hole game or exec par-3 course, hio may not. But your 33rd hole, fatigue sets in and hio is even more commendable.

Thanks bro. No lah! I didn't play 36 holes. Just that Poresia name their holes from 1 to 36. I am playing the New Course Hibiscus/Bougainvillea. Have wrote email to MGK and awaiting their response as well as Poresia's Certificate of Achievement. Smile

Congrats. I remember this hole. Green is higher than tee box so u can't see the ball enter the hole.

Waiting for official reply from MGK if my HIO is valid because only 1 witness. If plus God then 2 witnesses. Very Happy

Thanks bro for the info. But Poresia didn't tell me that yesterday. Besides, how will the Malaysia HIO Club know whether I have achieved it. Poresia is a very poor club. HIO also have nothing except the Certificate of Achievement which will take 1 week to prepare. Crying or Very sad

I was also told I have to pay a few hundred Rm to put my name on the Hole-in-One Notice Board. They couldn't advise how much exactly. Again quite strange as this is suppose to be standard. cyclops
