Does joining Golf clubs or Golf society helps...

Now with so much uncertainties in today golfing fees... golf membership to invest or just to play golf...was tempted to join many clubs term membership as another resort to quench my lustful thirst of teeing up. Cost is a major consideration.

Did join many golf clubs and Societies Social membership..latest pending was the home team social membership, yearly only $30 and can play Sembawang at 1/3 of the course fees....but what in store when the new 18 holes open ??? Will i get good rates ???

Again don't get me wrong...Golf clubs and Golf societies does not owe me anything and i have not right to ask them for good rates to play in golf course in Singapore.

What does all this Social membership plays in these golf clubs ???
