| I met an incident yesterday. There is 4 players. Player A, B, C and D. Player D is a hcp26. In a par 3 holes, player D tee off and left a 6 foot putt. Player A told player D to putt pass the hole in order to achieve birdie. Player D missed the putt and left with another 10 feet putt and scored a double bogey. | |

| Normally, We don't tell other player what to do during a games. Unless he or she need help and ask you. With 6 foot putt and HCP 26, he should know better what to do, Even Double bogey, cannot blame other lah. For me kiasi, at most push 5 to 7 foots, at lease get a par , RIGHT.

| snowman, If this thread means to be a joke then I do not get it .. 1 on green for par 3 .. If ball rather far away from the hole .. birdies is not easy, putt enough for par might be workable if we can control our putting distance well enough after consider of uphill slope, down hill slope .. green speed, break .. etc OR Player A given a poor advise to player D to putt PASS the hole in order to achieve birdie> Did player D miss understood what player A really mean ? | |

Player D missed the putt and left with another 10 feet putt and scored a double bogey. Given a benefit of doubt....If A give advice to D, and D screw up, than that life. D cannot blamed A for giving advice. And A will have to learn his lesson not to give tips to D..maybe to B and C. Best moved to next hole and cont. to enjoy th game. People give me tip here and there, most of the time i screw up but i know it my mistake and will practise hard. People give you tip because they like you, if they don't like you, they would be playing with you. Last game, Slinger whacked me for being too confident to hit out a green side bunker 25m to green. He advice me to hit to fairway and chip to green to save for bogey. That hole i booboo and blowed it. Next game at Starhill i remember slinger advice and played 90 ! So i guessed if you know the player well, it ok to give some tips, but if its a new kakis best watched for his character 1st. Just my 2 cents worth ! | |
