| When i tee off i always straighten my back, stand tall but lately my kakis ( Uncle Donald ) said i shouldn't straighten so much till my back like a TableTop and my backside stick out ( no wonder moi keep standing behind my back !) I also throught that we must stand tall and whacked the ball ? If i slouch i always hit a shank ot top the ball. I am short at 1.7m Any advise for a shorty like me ? Should i stand tall or slouch ??? UL

| UL. I am also 1.7m.... cannot say short lah... else Markie will feel insulted... but after seeing a pro... you will realise that you still need to bend at the hips it is all about angles at set up. Once set up is wrong... ball cannot fly straight dun forget your grip too. Make sure stay neutral. | |

| My swing thought for driver is to hit the ball on the upswing. My swing should bottom out before contact. Try to maintain the same spine angle as per setup - that is absolutely critical.
One could also control the trajectory of the ball flight by levelling or tilting the shoulders. If you level your shoulders, ball flight would be low, conversely if there is more tilt, the ball would go high.
Just my 2 cents. Cheers | |

| It would be great if there's a pro or coach on 25 March 2010 at Bishan range meet-up. So everyone can have some tips from him. Cheers! | |

| Alamak, UL if 1.7m u say short than me 1.67m shortly liao :-(((......
For me, my noobie principle on good driver posture is to stand tall, do not protrude ur butt so much until Bro Moi comes over, ur back spine should not be too stiff, chin Up & the most important of all relax !
Oh, eyes on the ball ! sibei important !
cheers | |
