Golfing in Hua Hin / Cha-Am

I am thinking of going for a short golfing trip in Hua Hin / Cha-Am. If I do go, I will be staying in Cha-Am as I should be able to get pretty good rates at one of the resort there.

I have never been to Hua Hin and would like to get some experiences and ideas from golfers who have been there. Would like to know which courses to play, any sight seeing to do, any good food and is it advisbale to rent a car from BKK airport to drive down there.

Please share your experiences with me.

There are agents doing those golf packages, i have seen 1 golf package on Hua Hin.

5 days 4 nites which included hotel accommdation and choose 4 round of golf from any of the following courses for as low as 19,000bahts (ard S$830).

Lake view golf club
Palm hills golf club
Seapine golf club
Keang krachan golf club
Royal hua hin golf club
Majestic creek golf club
Black mountain golf club
Springfield golf club
Dragon hills golf club
Banyan golf club

Think won't be getting these packages as I most will be staying at Alila Cha-Am if I go to that region.

Thinking of doing a 4D3N or 5D4N trip with 3 games.

Initially was thiking of going in June/July but now I am thinking of August coz' there is a golf festival in Aug and Sep. It seems like a game will only be 800 bht during that period.

800bahts then should chiong more games. I heard the golf courses in Hua Hin are fantastic.

Apparently they have this festival every year from Aug to Sep. There will be competitions and events. I am only afraid that it might be too crowded on the courses.

Have only seen Blue Canyon in Phuket and it is nice too.

I so need a golfing holiday. So tired from work.
