What club do you use for 195m?

If your second shot is on fairway on a par 4 with 195m, what club will you use? Or would u lay up?

3 iron or 3 hybrid.... I think hybrid will promote a little more "roll" after the carry...

and still cannot reach

Most of the time lay up. But if want to chiong, 3 wood.

Driver lor........ What to do.. Cannot drive, keep myself drive lor.......

other than driver, the longest club i have is 3 hybrid ...

I think a lot of us are in the same situation for this distance. Looks like I need to train up my 3 wood Liao.

On the other hand, I saw some players at barclays using a 5 iron and 2 on from this distance using easy swing. Other than sound swing fundamental, do they have special kongfu?

Ha ha Tiger used a 3w for his 2nd shot which was 280yds away and on the Par 5. Can't remember if he eagled the hole or not during the recent Oz Open.

The pro's swing speed is very fast hence the distance is longer. If you want to increase distance, it is to increase swing speed (not swing harder). But of course, you must have a good swing which can allow you to swing faster. More of a rotation of shoulder type of swing follow by arm and hand.

If you feel that you are using your right hand to hit the ball, likely chance is that you will not be able to swing much faster.

Also needs a lot of training to get the timing right, hitting a lot of balls.

Yeah, until i get my swing fundamental correct, i can only lay up. That's why we are bogey player.

Who is the one who say distance is not important?

Trying to get kaki to join me on the gym lesson but no one interested lay.

For 195m, I use 7i. Normally, it can ON........

Buy the yamaha 3 hybrid and can reach. I will only use 3w if there is no apparent hazard left right or guarding the green

Yamaha hybrids are 1 club up

Though it's a 19 deg, it's actually a 17deg and length is a 2h club

Yet handles like a 3h. Very easy to launch and strike.

For amateur golf, this is how the game is played. But at Barclays level, sure miss cut..
