Keppel Club maybe shifting to Seletar area ?

While having Teh C kosong yesterday at my office cafe...overheard two golfers talking about buying Keppel Club as it will shift to Seletar area...next band one day may sell a profits as it will shift to Seletar Area.

Anyone can comfirm this ? $20k to play Keppel Club in Yishun area...near my English Bridge 5th Ave.

Is it wortyh to take the drive !

Agreed with Bro KK...Most probably will ask its members to top $$ to fund its new venue. Similar to JCC for it's renovation.

I think all golf clubs(social clubs) are like that, members are the owners of the club. When you need to move or renovate, you will need money, but where the money come from? It will have to come from the owners(i.e members). If they have savings then it won't be a problem, if no savings, then members will suffer. If no money, then you will be force to sell or give up membership.

If mismanaged, run into bankruptcy, members will be liable too.

So to own a GC membership, your pocket needs to be very deep. Don't jump into it.
