| I started this thread to post one official handicap. So playing kakis can give or take strokes accordingly. This is a rough guideline and strokes giving is purely on one decision. Be honest and playing kakis are advice to check official Handicap agency to validate one's handicap index.Uncle Lau as of 1st May NSRCC / 20.3 | |

| If you are holding handicaps issued by any golf courses in Malaysia, your handicaps can be checked online at MGA.com by anybody who is also a member of MGA. Wonder if this is the case in Singapore too? | |

Think in Singapore all official Handicap can be found in SGA Handicap page... http://www.sga.org.sg/HandicapFiles/HandicapRegView/tabid/243/Default.aspxJust key the person name and club and the official index will show.

Same as in Malaysia, so we can always check handicaps online. MGA gives not just the handicaps, but also the total scores and dates of each game entered into handcap holder's database.

| For hcp, its main purpose is to show your best potential score, not your present score.
You may have score around 85 - 90 for some games, thus showing hcp 15.8.
hcp is taking average of your best 10 scores of your most recent 20 scores.
Just my 2 cents.

| As much I have to admit that I enjoy being at 24, i might have to adjust to 18 pretty soon, i heard that NSRCC doesnt let ppl with >18 to play in BLUE tee. Real bummer...
Disclaimers... its not that I can play any better, just that I dont want to trouble my buggy mates if I ever play in NSRCC... I know how be kind to my friend and let them enjoy their game...

| Yes i totally agreed with TDO, but if a golfers is not up to a Blue tee player, minimum hcp of 18, than he would be struggling to clear the water or ravine with at least 160m to clear. On top of that the player second shot still may leave him another 170m to green, 3nd shot may still have another 50m.....4 on, 3 putt....7 for a 395m/Blue par 4. (estimate) At my age...i like to play at somewhere along Thomson Road because they have a golden tee for senior...TDO, you keen | |
