| We all need to swing on the right to hit the ball. | |

| Depends on what you define as "good". It's a radical change for some. For others it's a natural transition. Currently I have 2 swings, my normal swing and rss. Which is better? Sometimes, I really don't know. Hah! | |

| follow through is always a must. but the weight transfer is a bit different from traditional methodology. RSS swinger is a draw player. So all your strategies will go out the window - esp if you are a fade player.
No harm trying. No harm exploring. Accept what is good, discard what's useless.

| IMHO, RSS is an excellent "beginner's" swing. Helps one get contact easier and more consistently. Pitching and putting is also easier.
To each his own. One man's trash is another man's gold. Cheers.

| draw players usually have distance advantage due to spin, loft, etc. So, highly likely you will get more distance. | |

| Rocky, can demo RSS on 10th june range at Bishan?
I see some kids at Warren, their swing is about 3/4 but very consistent, just wondering if they are practicing RSS too...

| whether right-side or left-side or whatever, the more important thing is ball go straight....
juz visit the other forum and pm Paul for a swing analysis, and he will run you briefly through the RSS.
my only advise is that u shld be clear what you want to achieve, in terms of goals, rather than changing or trying swing. it's a lot disruptive than changing equipment.
RSS does have its merits and in my views, it share all the fundamentals of a good swing. it just different route to the goal and also different packaging...

| no 1 swing is better or suitable for all...... even with yr current swing, did u see yr pro enuff now n then to tune it? do u practice enuff? even for RSS, if u wana try... how long u willing to "try" or train on it to see the results? 1 month? 6 months? 1yr? how often do u intend to practice it n "perfect" it b4 u comment it's good or bad? jmho... if we not willing to spend time n effort correctly, no swing is good. | |

| Talk to ssquirel if you want another view. He done this before. I started under RSS many donkey years ago. It is excellent for beginners but for season player it may be awhile after the swing change before you see any real results. I heard from folks who have absolute consistency and accuracy to their game after RSS but some also complaint that they lose distance. I would say, to each its own.
I echo what Rocky quotes, Pick up whats best and discard the useless. Dont sign up for 10 classes if you are not sure tho, cause you will end up throwing away hard earned $$$ if you give up after 2-3 classes.

| Thanks KK.
KopiO: For many people the objective is to go straight. For me, I think to hit a straight ball it too difficult. So long as I can get the ball to go how I want it to go, eg draw or fade, I am happy. Straight is a bonus for me. Cheers
