Has anyone made a claim on their golf insurance eg broken club, hit someone with your golf club or ball? Do you think it's a must to have?

I lost my 7i at Palm Resort and after 1 month, made a claim against my golf insurance by way of a 7i replacement (same make and model) with a $50 excess. Since then I think it's a must to have golf insurance esp when you go across the border or overseas. Ultimately, the kind of coverage goes with the premium you've paid scratch scratch

Golf insurance is vital for every golfer, not only for club loss/damage.

Most importantly, to cover the legal liability of the insured golfer "for accidental injury to any person, accidental damage to their property and claims of litigation against the Insured member whilst and as a consequence of playing or practicing golf at any golf course."

Yes, you need $500K public liability coverage Smile

Not all golf insurance provide $550K coverage. I think average about $300K coverage.

It all depends on the premium paid, you can never have too much PL coverage as lawyer/court fees can be astronomical pale pale

There's one thing we all need to take note...if you pay $30 annually don't expect too much when you're claiming for a lost/broken club as the excess is $300. On the other hand if you pay $80+ per year, the excess for loss/broken club is $50. So decide wisely! Golf Insurance 267277 Golf Insurance 267277 Golf Insurance 267277

I know this because, I had a friend who asked me about insurance claim (I lost my 7i at Palm Resort) as she has broken her driver (she bought 2nd hand at $270). I asked her what was her annual premium and she replied $30. Told her the excess is $300! she was Shocked Shocked Shocked

It is always advisable to have golf insurance and the coverage is comprehensive...meaning..lost of club(s), theft of personal belongings (cash etc), breakage, clubs got stolen at airport, on transit etc, medical evacuation, public liability etc...read the policy Golf Insurance 267277

OK, you have a choice of $30 (not inclusive of GST) or $84 per year. The coverage is different eg, excess for clubs (loss or broken) is $300 and $50 respectively. The $30 coverage, you can get from NUTC and if you want the better coverage, I will pm you the contact.

You don't need to buy unless the club you're playing gives you an option. I know from past experience, they will always make you pay a few Rm (in Malaysia clubs) even though you have your own golf insurance. As it's only a few Rm, it's extra protection etc, you can ask the club for a copy of the policy so that you are aware of the coverage, especially if you scored a Hole-in-One.....just being hopeful Golf Insurance 358550 Golf Insurance 358550 Golf Insurance 358550

Well, if you're lucky enough to achieve a HIO on your social golf day, you can officially claim your HIO prize of $500 or $1000 (depending on which insurance co, the policy and premium), the club (depending on how generous they are) will give you a Certificate to record your feat and maybe some golf stuff. So the insurance has an added feature besides protection, gives you money to celebrate with your friends. Also, all insurance companies requires you to spend first, collect receipts (all in 1 day and not split up) and submit your claim bounce bounce bounce Remember that you must be in a flight and the feat witnessed by your mates and may not count if you're playing on your own or with a caddy Sad

you haven't decided on the coverage you want...$30 per year or $85 (can't remember the actual amount) per year. This is because I don't want to pm you too many agents' contacts scratch scratch scratch
