Ask the Bridgestone Players....

Once again i like to start this series of golf products topic, we does not have the special care of having the club agent like Titleist, Mizuno, TM etc to guide us, but i am not a sour grape as these agent or maker usually will boost about their own product.

Lets ask those who used the product and on how they feel about this brand of product and they are also in the best position to advice. New product we can read them in golf magazine but those who tried and tested are the best person to ask.


BridgeStone

Any Bridgestone players here ????

I use Bridgestone J36 pocket cavity irons 3-PW forged. Its comes NSPRO 950h, regular flex. To me they are very comfortable iron. Easy to play as its pocket cavity but a bit more offset when comes to long iron, definitely forgiving.

Bought it for 899 with 180 discount.

What is the different between Bridgestone and Tourstage ? are they the same ???

Same company. Different markets. I believe bridgestone targets US and Tourstage is Japan and greater asia.

Tourstage is Bridgestones high end brand and is almost exclusively Japanese Domestic Market (where cost is less of an issue). The Tourstage range is generally two to three years ahead of Bridgestone in terms of technology.

As far as Bridgestone goes, Tourstage has newer technologies and better features IMO. For example the old Tourstage X-Blade CB released in 2003 is the new U.S 2005 release Bridgestone J33 CB. The Japanese product line is also much bigger with the Beam series, ViQ, synergy and the most amazing apparel and accessories. Your correct that the J33 is a wonderful club but the Tourstage X-Drive has better shaft options, a more appealing shape and face profile as well as turbo rubber technology and true stated lofts. It comes down to several things, the Japanese are willing to pay more for quality equipment so Tourstage can put extra goodies into design and manufacturing. Take a look in the catalog and compare some of the products with the U.S offerings.

As far as Mizuno, Its pretty much all the same when it comes to the MP series, Forged in Japan and finished in China. The custom grind Mizunos are finished in Japan and the new JPX line has out of this world technologies that may not see light in the U.S for many years.

Are the differences worth the price? that is subjective depending on who you are, your standards and your income.

z101 sold his z101 cos he thinks he dun deserve the z101.....

It is either Clint Eastwood or Lee Westwood. Where got Lee Eastwood one? Might as well call Lee Southwood?

I am using Bridgestone J36 combo... bought it after trying Daffu's J36 pocket cavity irons... solid feel, solid forged irons...but user not solid...
