Hole In One....Is it skill or is it luck?

Many of us played golf for many years, i can"t remember how many times i aim for a par 3 flag....only to landed into the bunker or pond For me is definitively no skill.....i celebrated one RDG brother here got 2 HIO in a perod of 1 year !!! , Prettygolf, YC Low are all in the Elite list......So is it skill or luck that a HIO is produce ???

20% skill and 80% luck.

You definitely need skills to be able to hit the ball with the correct distance and direction. The other part is luck which I have all the time - ASSLUCK.

I would says its all about luck for HIO...

I know Allen Kelly had one student whom he brought to the course the first time and he/she scored a HIO. The question the student asked was, "every round also will have one is it?"

I also HIO for my first golf outing..

But it was a much bigger hole...
