| How many of you have experienced swing change and seems to take forever to recover from it and get comfortable with your new swing?
I used to swing with my upper body and my biggest problem is outside-in-swing. Since i switched to lower body initiated downswing, my out-to-in swing is corrected. But i'm still battling with the casting problem which at times costing big duff and choke up the score.
Anyone would like to share your experience? Should i continue to endure this uncomfortable feeling of new swing?
Thanks. | |

| Bro SD,
my experience is that every new swing needs 3-4 months to settle in. For some strange reason the swing likes to go disappear as and when it deem appropriate. ....

| I change to PCGS and takes about one month to get use... I find it is one of the easiest swing to learn.
SD, are you referring to PCGS??

Thanks. How do you know its a casting problem? You see it on video? Casting is prob cause by eagerness to hit the ball. Like what KC suggested, passive hands. Once again, i just gave my own views bro

Once again, i just gave my own views bro Bro Markie, My casting is not very severe but you are right. My right wrist is just too active and need to be passive. Any suggestion how to train my arms and wrist to be passive?

This I must agree... sometimes after hitting ball then realized it.... becos ball sliced... wahahaha... Guess I have not hit enough balls to make it a natural swing action....

| I took a hard six months to change, to correct a swing fault... very painful, during which I cant even play on the course...
You just have to forget everything and relearn from scratch... keep doing the drills to get comfortable with the swing change... you must have faith in your coach of course.

Use this swing thought, "void your hands", i.e. no strength in the wrist. Or whatever resound with you. I did this for about 400 balls. Good to not focus on the resulting ball flight.

| Bro salty, for me to train passive hands, I grip very light like gripping feather. I totally forget about hands and focus on core like shoulder turn in backswing and initiate hips on downswing.
Do not worry that your club will fly off cos at impact, sub consciously u will grip tight.
Once again just my own views. It takes a while to trust ur soft hands

Same tightness for me, probably in deep rough then I need to grip tighter.
