How do you hit the driver sweet spot consistently ? Ball Position ?

Was working on my driver today at RCC range...have a few questions...

1) Where do you place the ball for driver ? I am taught to place it align to the left heel...
But I find I can hit better when I place the ball position to outside my left toe..It really feel like I can get the behind the ball and really launch it on the upswing at this setup position.. 

2) Do you address with the driver close to the ball or you leave a gap of say 3 inches to 4 inches ? I feel I can driver better by doing so.. 

3) Anyone able to hit that 250m distance marker at RCC range ? Is really so damn far... haha..

My driver my ball is roughly in-line to my left heel. I address my driver 2 to 3 inches away from the ball. Been doing there since i started golf:D 

Your drive is 230m.....but i never been to RCC range...only on course..

just got a used G25 Ping Driver yesterday so went to test the driver..

Initially I'm using 10.5 but now changing to 9.5...

Can hit but then will bottom the ball... Tee too high ?

Do you guys always tee the same height on course ? Is tee height very important ?

Hi SteveS, different driver hve different face depth so..it s better to mark on yr rubber tee the preferred height or hve few different height tee fr yr range practice.
Then once u re on the green, reconfirm tat tee height n mark it final.

Think the standard is to tee up half the driver face.
