MBGC people are bullying you ... they are known for doing that ...

my 7i only 120m, still can pass their so-called swing test, twice ... that is just their creative ways of making more money ...

In order to hit 120m with 7i, you need to have certain swing speed. you can go measure your swing speed first. Atleast you need to achieve 65km/h to reach 120m using 7i. If you don't have the swing speed, no matter how good is your contact, you still won't reach the distance you want, but don't force your swing, use 6 or 5i to achieve. most important is consistancy and straight. That will keep your score low. If you really want the distance, i suggest you go to gym and work out your muscle.

ok, can someone advise me this:-

1. do i need to obtain a pc den go for hcp. or i can go for hcp straight?
2. if not how do i get the 5 scorecards for my hcp test? (pardon me if i am wrong, hcp requires 5 scorecards right? or was it after I pass hcp, then i need to main 5score cards a year?)

to answer your qns...
1) dun think u need to get pc then hc... some places offer hc straight away...
2) u need 5 score cards for 18 holes or 10 cards for 9 holes to submit after ur courtesy round for the establishment to calculate your hc...

frankly speaking, how many male golfers here can hit 150m for their 7iron? i mean not yr best distance but yr average distance.... i think the no. shld be low....

a consistent 135m 7 iron is very very good liao...

if i dun remb wrongly, the correct procedure is

1) apply n pass PC before you can book for hcp test.. (last time PC only valid for 1 yr but i heard now is lifetime...

2) after got yr PC, collect 5 x 9holes or 10 x 9holes scorecard then you can book HCP test....

3) also need to pass 1 theory test b4 can take yr hcp...

go malaysia take hcap, permas jaya golf club. spend 1/2 day there they teach you the rules and see your swing, then issue handicap, which can be used in singapore. cost should be less than SGD100, my friend did it.

I think what Seiko mean is that his 7i goes 30m up, 30 m down, and 15 m forward. Total 75m.

I hav enever played with Seiko so this is just what I guess.

You can get hdcp card at Palm Villa. Talk to the pro there, play one courtesy round (pay green fee and tuition fee), sit for a test, and then submit 5 rounds of 18 holes cards, they will get you a hdcp card.

Cristel : Depends on what you want, if you want an authentic recongnised hcp card, you may join the following organisations in Singapore;

1. SSG (Societyof Singapore Golfers) -Quite strict and must join monthly game quarterly
2. SGA Golf Club -
3. My Golf kaki - very lenient, just pay money, but must join as Union member.
4. Join as member of any golf clubs.

A proper hcp card should reflect your hcp ability in monthly format and able to be checked by peers.

Strictly speaking, those hcp cards from overseas clubs are not so recognise unless you are a member of the clubs. As there is no monthly update, only show one single hcp throughout.

Fortunately, no one check on the authenticity of these hcp cards, so it is still ok to use.
