I thought I scored a Birdie today!

Today at Pt Puteri doing "secret training" hehe! I thought I scored one birdie for one Par 5 hole. 3rd shot at the green fringe, 4rd shot is putting straight to the hole. While I happily shouted "Birdie" and my friend was happy for me. We went to the next hole waiting to teeoff (a lot of golfers today). Suddenly I realized that it is not a birdie!

Why?

My 1st teeoff went to the water hazard! My 2nd teeoff swee swee landed in the fairway. So by right it is not a birdie! My friend told me its ok, nvr mind (very kind of him), just take it the 1st teeoff as mulligan will do! I rejected the idea because I already had my mulligan before so not fair! Most importantly, I want to earn my own birdies in real capacity!

If its is a declared mulligan before you tee-off(2nd), Yes, it is a birdie.
