Hi bros & sisters,

Can you remember your first birdie?

For me I remembered very clearly when I have my first birdie. It happened in year 1996 (my 1st year into golf) at Pulai Springs (I was ex-member but unfortunately cannot remember the actual date).

I was so excited about it when it happened at Hole 1 Par 5 of the Melana Course. Tee shot ball went left of fairway and lying on rough and downhill slope. Used my Adams Tightlie (Original version which is still with me). Shot 2 ball sailed left and then curled to right and landed on green. OMG! 2 on green. I couldn't believe it when I was putting for Eagle. But then the excitement got the better of me and I missed the putt to the right for a tap-in birdie.

Like my Sifu used to advice me, NEVER birdie the 1st hole or you will suffer the consequences. I went to to complete my round with 1 Birdie and 4 pars. And you want to know what I scored?

YES, 114. DAMNED! And the advice stay etched in my memory till this day. OUCH!
