| hi all.. Thanks for all the advise and encouragement.. Indeed is going to be tough but just give it a try... Been "golfing" for a few months but no improvement.. Recently just understand how to golf...not to hit the ball but to swing smooth with the right tempo... Was trying to get this feeling right.... Definitely going to be tough especially need to seek balance between work and golfing But wanna give it a try and see by end of 2013, what's my result.. But honestly speaking...might only hit 100...haha.. Good luck to me and later morning will have a game at IOI | |

| sorry....too busy watching youtube so forgot about updating on this thread...
my wife said i'm crazy to update here...why not start a blog ? haha.. but anyway is definitely easier to motivate myself here and might get some good advice from good golfer here.
the game sux on that day...score 124 at blue tee again..
Then went again and play 2 rounds of 18 holes... first round get 119 and second round at 108..
I also do not understand why second round get better when I'm already quite tired..
But problem with driver seems solved, hopefully can keep this feeling. 70% of the driver tee off is good, no slice no hook. I think watching youtube works....just relax swing and don't hit the ball.
Problem now is iron and shot game / approach.
Iron shot is not straight at all. Very horrible.
Things to work on this week before going IOI again
- go more short game at Mandai - Practise more iron and make sure the shot doesn't disperse too much. '- Continue to keep the same feeling of the driver | |

| bro SteveS, don't give up. Golf is a long game, and just keep going. You will make your goal come true.
From a technical stand point, PV is a relatively easy course. General rule of thumb is to ALWAYS put the ball in the fairway from the tee. If you tend to slice, aim left. If you tend to hook, aim right. When attacking the greens, aim to the centre / fat side of the green. That will give you the best chance because putting is always better than to play short game.
And don't be afraid to take one club higher. "None of the short putts go in", said one famous quote.
And of course, don't do things that you can't do. If you can't carry the ravine on no. 6 at IOI, then lay up. Hit an iron straight down the fairway and cross the ravine.
You'll do fine. Just remember don't give up.
Cheers. | |

| no update for the time being... ya...a bit upset by the recent local game..but somehow it leads to finding out a huge mistake i made.. My grip is wrong! Met my ex coach at the range, never thought he will be of any help but he came to me and corrected my mistake. That's the grip! The followings are my mistake : 1) My right hand did not wrap over the left hand resulting in constant slicing especially at the iron shot. That explain why I can never get the Iron to go straight recently because I gey kiang see youtube and change my grip.. 2) Watch too much youtube on effortless swing. Trying to copy but doesn't seems to work out. Is better to stick to own swing, my own style... Practise around 600 balls at range... looks good so far but still need time to get used with it.. Went Mandai for a round of short game...looks good too... A bit busy with work but will make a trip to IOI again this week to test it out.. Wish me good luck and dont come back with all double parsssss...... haha.. | |

| Assuming half swing is 9 o-clock backswing, then you try 8 o-clock, 7 o-clock backswing to see what distance it gives you. Chipping is all about feel and practices.
Just my 2 cents. | |
