I think if i go for things like TM burner cannot go very wrong right? But won't a TM burner quite similar to my ping G15?
Then change to Yamaha... Is this correct: Ping G15 = SGI TM burner = GI Yamaha = GI? SGI stands for super game improvement club

It's all marketing strategy for iron manufacturers. SGI, GI, PI (Player's Iron) don't really matter. What matter is that the equipment must instill confidence when you use it. FYI, when I was at Barclays Open recently, 2 pros used cavity back, only one played with blade. And their irons were all past year models.

Yes i fully agreed with S2S, mental strength is something we need to work on, we spend countless hours on range and lesson. Anyone ever read a Sport Psychology books. Don't get me wrong, range is good and golf lesson is important. Some of us have very strong mental strength, many sadly...... have little understanding in this field. some even keep saying they want to quit golf. Tiger Woods have a Sports Psychologist, Jay Brunza, to help him....this year SEA games, Sport council hired US and UK Sports Psychologist for the Singapore team.....what about us...mere mortal....

| SD, one wise old man asked me this question...
What are you looking for with the new irons? Eg. better feel, more forgiveness, more accuracy, thinner topline, lighter... dun tick all, of course.
The TM offer is a good one. My friend juz bought the CB. But for your range of hcp, the MC series should be more appropriate.

| Bro SD,
IMHO do go for a club demo and get a feel of all the irons you have in mind. Trust in your swing and feel for your irons. Have a couple of swings on each iron setup. Test out by swinging it fade, duff, straight & etc... Once you got the 'swee' feeling on the right iron, thats the one for you !
Fyi, thats what I did before making my new iron purchase recently. Hope this helps!
cheers | |

| Different between non forged and forged is the "soft" feel... up to individual preference. Non forged feel harder and will give you a little more distance, forged will feel softer and slightly less distance. However technology is getting more advance, non forged are feeling softer with the rubber/tungsten/whatever insert in the club head. Happy shopping. | |
